This photograph, Untitled Film Still #25, was taken by Cindy Sherman in 1978. It is a part of her project in which she photographed the stereotypes of women in films. I plan on emulating this series for my emulation project, and this is one of my favorite photographs from the series because I like the contrast and the diagonal lines of the docks. Also, I enjoy the perspective of the photograph, which was shot from higher up with the camera angled downwards. The lighting of this photograph is natural lighting, as it was taken outside. In order to take this photograph, Cindy Sherman had to travel to the docks during the daytime when the weather was decent, as the water looks calm.
